Hi, I’m Tammy

I am a Texan born and bred, wife and mom who loves all kinds of food (dark chocolate is my favorite), have a deep affection for traveling the world, and am a huge dreamer!

Curious where I came from?

I have not always had a website trying to reach other people with my message of hope. I worked as a dental assistant, for over 20 years. Was it my passion to suck spit and listen to my boss complain about production numbers. Not exactly.

What I did love was the people. Talking with them and learning about their goals and dreams. What I noticed over the years was one resounding similarity. None of them wanted to be there. They all wanted to quit that j-o-b. They struggled with real life problems and didn’t like leaving their families each and every day.

After receiving a text message from my boss telling me he wouldn’t need me anymore (yes, he laid me off via text message) I decided that I was done with not only that industry but with a traditional job. I knew – in my soul – there was more I was put on earth for.

My greatest desire – what makes me feel all lit up inside? It is the hope that I can inspire someone out there in this great big world that you are valuable! Your dreams for your life and your family, they matter. You are capable of far more than the
life you are currently living.

“Whatever you dream is, you can do it. You were born for it!”

If I can inspire you to just start walking towards your greatest dream, then I will consider this site successful!

Why I Started A Blog? HINT, I Really Don’t Care About Fame!

Although you will see a lot of pics on this site of me, I really didn’t start this blog so you could see my face. Only my husband is interested in that. 🙂

I started a blog for people out there like me who are tired of the 9 to 5 rat race. People who are sick of just dreaming – and are now ready for doing!

I am a mom in her mid 40’s. Yep, I am a midlife blogger! I have two teenage daughters (yikes!) and have been married to my college sweetheart for 24 years. Twenty two years?!? Yes, I married when I was 10!

What do I love? Dark chocolate, movie nights at home with my family, raw cookie dough, and comfy house pants!

I love to travel anywhere and was once referred to as, “the fizz in coke!” Strange, right? I am definitely not quiet. I am chatty, have a tendency to be very optimistic, and have a strong belief that others can do ANYTHING they dream of doing!

We are active members of our local church, devoted Christians, big believers in a great marriage, and tough on our kids when it comes to money, responsibility and manners.

If I am not behind my computer working on my blog, you will find me upstairs, watching my favorite movie, with a pony tail in my hair doing life with my favorite people.
